영국 영주권/시민권 시험 빠를수록 쉬워.... > 이런저런이야기

시험 별로 안 어렵던데요.. 잘난척하는게 아니고 전날부터 책 한번 정독하고 두번째에 키워드 메모하고 인터넷가서 모의시험 5개 풀고 가서 15분 만에 다풀고 나왔고 바로 결과 받았습니다. 왜 자꾸 어렵다고 해서 사람들 겁주시는지요?

저스틴님 말씀에 동의. 저도 이 시험 먼저 본 미국 사람 (미국인이니 영어는 당연 문제 없고 게다가 박사학위 소지자임)이 어렵다길래 2일이나 휴가내고 준비했는데 막상 10분만에 다 풀고 나왔어요. 대체 휴가 왜 냈나 싶었다는;; 그냥 평균 수준의 단기 기억력에 5년 이상 영국 사시면서 들어온 영국에 대한 기본 지식이 좀 있다면 강의까지 듣지 않아도 충분히 통과 가능하십니다.

참고로 UKBA/Home Office 공식 발표에 의하면 새로 바뀐 시험은 오히려 좀 더 실생활에 가깝도록 재구성되었기 때문에 예전보다 쉬우면 쉬웠지 어렵지는 않다는 분석입니다.

그러므로 시민권/영주권이 목표이신 분들은 이 시험보다는, 영어권 학위 없으시면 영어 공인 성적을 마련해 두는 것이 더 우선일 듯 싶습니다.

겁주려는 것 아니고요. 쉽고 어렵고는 주관적 판단이니 몇 문제를 한글로 내도 어려울 사람이 많습니다.
모의 시험내용을 보면 독자들이 판단할 것 입니다. 물론 영어를 잘 하시는 분들이야 책 한번 죽 읽어보면 되겠지만요.
