Job Description for the post of Production Assistant


at the SMARTlab Digital Media Institute 2009





WEBSITE AND DIGITAL MEDIA





Essential:


- Good understanding of websites and social media medium


- Experience in website building or editing


- Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver


- Experience in Desktop design (Mac)





Desirable:


- php, mysql based database knowledge


- open source CMS development


- Ability to write PR web language and excellence in communication (English)





As part of the production team, you will get excellent work placement experience in digital technology within world-class digital media institute. We are equipped as high quality digital suite and you will learn from our skilful professional team. You will produce documentaries and video presentations, document project work, media driven website, digital media archiving, and assist during live performances and productions. This is fantastic opportunity to build up your starting point of the career as well as professional networks.





We are looking for passionate students who willing to play as team players. You should be able to commit to 1 day per week (7 hours in total) or more, which can be split. Some evening and weekend work may occur at the SMARTlab, situated on Knowledge Dock Building at Docklands Campus or off site for live productions. This position is suitable for students from 3rd year onwards and MA students. You will be directed by digital production team, and will closely work with live film contents manager or interactive brand and production manager.
