Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead the opening of our new matcha café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in café or restaurant operations, a love for café culture, and the ability to create a welcoming and efficient environment for both staff and customers. The store is located at the Royal Exchange, EC3V 3LL and is scheduled to open Dec 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-Opening Planning: Collaborate with ownership to develop and implement operational strategies, systems, and processes for the café’s successful launch.
• Staff Recruitment and Training: Hire, train, and manage café staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about matcha products, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
• Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring the café runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies, tracking usage, and minimizing waste.
• Quality Control: Ensure the preparation of matcha beverages and food items meets quality and presentation standards, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Customer Experience: Foster a positive and inviting atmosphere, addressing customer feedback and concerns promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.
• Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets, sales reports, and operational expenses, implementing strategies to achieve financial goals.
• Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotions, events, and initiatives to attract customers and increase brand awareness.
• Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the café and enhance community presence.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in operations management within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of matcha, coffee and related products is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and drive sales growth.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
