The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our HA Product Management Team as Sales Operations Intern. Our HA Product Management Team is responsible for the sales and distribution of HA products such as refrigerators and washing machines into the UK market.
As a Sales Operations Intern you will be tasked to understand and forecast on future business budget needs, analyse findings by conducting cost & benefit analyses, create suggestions & check the reasonability of payment, and communicate with the marketing team, including checking budget of marketing support. You will be responsible for managing sales programmes, which includes organising the promotion details, monthly sales programmes report, and
monitoring the balance and current sales programme activities. Any other ad-hoc duties or responsibilities as requested by the line manager.
Your Role & Responsibilities
§ Sales Programme / Marketing Activities Funding Monitoring
o Share the product and market information with HQ, Sales team and other internal stakeholders, and provide UK business update to HQ
o Understand and forecast on future business budget needs
o Analyse findings by conducting cost & benefit analyses
o Create recommendations based on sound assessment of opportunities and risks and communicate them to management and stakeholders
o Check the reasonability of payment (evidence, agreement, stock date, sales out data, price, etc.)
o Regularly communicate with marketing team and check budget of marketing support
o Display allowance, A&P, rebate, SOA, price protection claim
o HQ strategic fund management
o Other Sales & Marketing activities support
§ HA Solutions’ Sales Programme Management System (SPMS) Request:
o Management of HA Solutions’ Sales Programmes in SPMS
o Organise the promotion detail and period management
o Generate the monthly sales programmes report
o Organise the sales promotion monthly calendar
o Monitor the balance and current sales programme activity
o Support sales coordination to update old and new programmes
§ Regular Activities:
o Daily: SPMS management (include charge back in sales and market activities), monitoring of daily sales progress
o Weekly: sales programme updated report, monitor & report weekly delivery plan
o Monthly: sales deduction report, charge back report, promotion calendar, month-end closing (issues related to P&L)
o Quarterly: marketing expense report, actual activities report
o Yearly: year report for sales programme, MKT activities, individual report etc.
Skills, Education & Experience
o Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases and queries
o Previous experience in a similar role within a related business environment – ideally consumer electronics, is preferable. Bachelor’s Degree is an advantage
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Due to daily communication with HQ, the candidate would have to be fluent in verbal and written communication in English and Korean. This will include translating business information from HQ in English in order to share with the internal Sales & Marketing team
o Pro-active and confident liaising with both colleagues internally and external stakeholders
o Highly organised with strong administration background
o Energetic self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
o Highly focused and capable of sustaining a fast pace in a dynamic environment
o Able to constructively challenge and improve existing practice
o Completer finisher, able to be resilient to drive issues through to a successful customer-focused solution
o Good judgement, able to make practical and realistic decisions within scope of responsibility
o Proven commercial acumen and ability to achieve commercial objectives
