Bright and inquisitive telephone researcher required for Investment firm based in the West End of London. Part-time role - can be flexible around other commitments. MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH. Other languages, such as German, would be a bonus
Your main duties will be to:
1. Conduct in-depth telephone interviews with in a variety of market segments and countries
2. Type up notes interviews you have conducted
3. Provide informal verbal and written summaries of issues discussed during interviews to colleagues
4. Conduct research, using the internet and other sources, into companies, products and markets
5. Where necessary, attend internal, and possibly external meetings to discuss findings of research
6. Assist colleagues with other tasks, as deemed necessary
It is expected that that as a minimum the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills and experience:
Personal attributes:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling effective communication with colleagues and clients at all levels
2. Good organisational skills
3. Excellent interpersonal skills
4. Strong attention to detail and precision
5. Awareness and understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality
6. Ability to contribute positively to the work of the team
7. Ability to use own initiative
8. Ability to be flexible and respond to change in priorities and demands from colleagues
9. A "can-do" attitude and positive outlook
Experience of:
1. Conducting depth telephone interviews with a variety of audiences
2. Providing verbal and written debriefs of interviews to colleagues
3. Using the internet to gather information about specific companies and/or markets and/or countries
4. Working effectively as part of a team
Skills and qualifications:
1. Fluency in English
2. Educated to at least degree level (preferred)
3. Intermediate IT skills - as a minimum should be very comfortable with Word, Excel, Outlook, web browsers
