About Samyang Foods UK
Samyang Foods is a leading Korean food company with a strong global presence. To strengthen our footprint in Europe, we are establishing a new UK subsidiary under Samyang Foods Europe. The UK entity will be dedicated to driving sales and marketing of Samyang products in the British market.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organized and results-driven Supply Chain Management Associate to oversee and optimize the supply chain operations at Samyang Foods UK. This mid-level role focuses on placing orders with HQ, manage the sales ordering process, coordinating import clearances, and ensuring efficient warehouse and logistics operations. The associate will collaborate closely with the sales team to maintain an optimal process to assure customer satisfaction and optimal sales. This role will hands-on and includes setting up the SCM functions in line with existing company processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate import clearance processes to ensure timely delivery of orders from HQ.
• Collaborate with sales teams to forecast demand.
• Place orders with HQ, monitoring lead times and ensuring alignment with sales & forecasts.
• Work closely with logistics partners to optimize transportation and distribution.
• Analyse supply chain data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for imports, warehousing, and distribution.
• In due time; oversee warehouse operations, stock level management, ensuring proper storage, handling, and timely dispatch of goods.
Qualifications
• Experience: 5 years in supply chain management, preferably within FMCG or international food product industries.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
• Experience with import/export processes, including customs clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in English & Korean.
• Understanding of Asian food products or familiarity with multicultural supply chain dynamics is advantageous.
