Our client, a reputable international bank located in the heart of City of London, is urgently looking for a Korean speaking Credit Assistant.
[Purpose of the job]
(1) Undertake the administration of the credit function.
(2) Check all credit limits and report any excesses to the Credit Officer/Credit Analyst.
(3) Registering new customers and updating customers’ information in the bank’s system.
[Key Responsibilities]
(1) Run daily credit reports, incorporating exposure against limits, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
(2) Monitor these reports for limit excesses, investigate the excess and report your findings to the Credit Analyst for any further action.
(3) Research various sources daily for any news or ratings which could impact upon our existing customers, using the websites of the external rating agencies (Moodys, S&P, Fitch), internet news services, Bloomberg and printed matter.
(4) Record ratings changes on the bank’s system.
(5) Maintain internal database.
(6) Minute limit changes and ensure that limits in the bank’s system are updated in a timely manner.
(7) Oversee the new account process.
(8) Input new customers to the bank’s system.
(9) Ensure that amendments to customer information on the bank’s system are input accurately and in a timely manner.
(10) Maintain the credit filing system.
(11) Review collateralised exposures.
(12) Compile monthly statistics for use in the Risk Committee and Head Office, namely product, geographic, industrial, group concentrations and asset quality and produce a written report thereof.
(13) Translate documents as necessary to/from English/Korean
(14) Prepare, review and update the Department’s Procedures Manual
(15) Prepare, distribute and ensure the return of Quarterly Reviews of Watch List names
(16) Act as Secretary to the Credit Committee
(17) Undertake ad-hoc projects as required.
(18) Undertake any other duties as specified by the Credit Officer/Credit Analyst
[Requirements]
(1) Must be fluent in both Korean & English
(2) Previous relevant work experience preferred, but we also welcome fresh graduates finishing relevant degrees in UK
(3) Must have excellent admin & data handling skills
(4) Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
(5) Excellent numerical skills and attention to details
(6) Excellent Microsoft Office skills
(7) Good communication skills and team player
[Conditions]
(1) Location: City of London (Bank area)
(2) Working hours: 9am~5pm (NO overtime)
(3) Annual leave: 23 working days in the first full calendar year and thereafter increased by one day per year into maximum of 28 working days (excluding 8 Bank/Public Holidays)
(4) Basic salary: 22~30K (depending on experience)
(5) Benefits: Group Personal Pension Scheme (Employer contributes 8% of basic salary), Life Assurance, Private Medical and Dental Insurance, Annual Health Check, Season Ticket Loan, Eye care Voucher, Annual Bonus Scheme(full calendar year required)
