Job Description - Support / IT Coordinator
Contract: Part-time or Full-time (Full-time considered for the right candidate)
Reporting to: Head Office / Operations / Finance (as applicable)
Role Type: Head Office based with regular site visits
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (pro rata for part-time), depending on experience
Role Purpose
The Support / IT Coordinator is responsible for providing hands-on IT support across
Head Office and hospitality sites, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and user
access operate efficiently, securely, and in compliance with legal and data protection
requirements.
The role supports day-to-day operations by maintaining IT infrastructure, managing
user access, supporting new starters and leavers, and ensuring GDPR and basic
cyber-security standards are met across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Site IT & Technical Support
Provide first-line IT support across hospitality sites and Head Office, including:
• EPOS / till systems
• Receipt and kitchen printers
• Digital screens and menus
• Laptops, tablets, and mobile devices
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Support IT setup for new site openings, refurbishments, and equipment
upgrades
• Liaise with external suppliers and service providers for repairs and
maintenance
• Escalate complex issues where necessary and track resolutions
2. IT Administration & Systems Management
• Set up, manage, and maintain user accounts (email, EPOS, HR and others
system) as required.
• Support IT onboarding and offboarding for employees, including device
allocation and access removal
• Maintain an up-to-date IT asset register
• Monitor software licences and access permissions
• Support basic network and connectivity requirements
3. Data Protection & Compliance (GDPR)
• Support GDPR compliance relating to employee and customer data
• Ensure secure handling of IT equipment and systems
• Assist with data protection processes, including data access requests and
data retention
• Support compliance of CCTV systems (access controls, secure storage)
• Promote good data protection practices across sites
4. Security & Risk Management
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with software updates and antivirus
protection
• Support role-based access controls and secure password practices
• Reduce operational and data security risks through proactive system
management
• Support PCI-DSS requirements related to payment systems (where
applicable)
5. Documentation, User and Opening Support
• Maintain clear IT procedures and guidance for managers and staff
• Provide basic system training or support to site teams
• Act as a central point of contact between Head Office, site managers, and IT
suppliers
• Support internal audits or reviews relating to IT and data protection
• Support new opening sites and ad hoc projects.
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Experience in IT support, IT administration, or a similar coordination role
• Practical experience troubleshooting hardware and systems
• Experience managing user accounts and access permissions
• Awareness of GDPR and data protection principles
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
• Willingness to travel to sites as required
Desirable
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-site environments
• Familiarity with EPOS systems
• Basic networking knowledge
• Experience working with external IT suppliers or managed service providers
Personal Attributes
