런던에서 언어학 박사과정을 하면서 많은 학생들을 만났습니다.
과외도 했었고, 스터디도 이끌었는데, 생각보다 정확히 해석하는 연습이 안 되어 있었습니다.
런던에서 파운데이션 학생들은 철학적 글을 읽어야 하는데, 너무 어려워하더라구요.
David Hume 쓴 original 1차 글도 아니고 2차 저작이었는데요.
어쨋든, 전 언어학 박사과정에도 있었고, 서울대에서 철학 석사 과정도 마쳤고, 영어로 논문도 2편 정도 썼습니다.
런던대(UCL) 언어학 석사에서는 Distinction(우등)으로 졸업하기도 했습니다.
Academic Reading 과외도 따로 가능하고, 아래처럼 Academic Writing 과외도 가능합니다. (물론 online과외로 가능합니다.)
지금 강남 등에서 여러 수준 높은 강의를 하고 있습니다.

Academic Writing: A Logical Approach (since 2011)
Aim: Roughly, this course consisting of 8 lessons is designed to help tutees to master the basics or cores of how to write a ‘substantial’ academic essay
required at college or more advanced level. (Here, I have implied by using the word “substantial” that they will come to have an ability to recognize what
topic would be worth developing.) More specifically, it will help them not only to learn English-related technical points such as how to use a semi-colon
but also to develop their logical/critical/analytic reasoning ability. The latter point turns out to be the most important element in writing an essay.
In addition, the course gives them opportunities to write 8 essays, in which tutees practice what they’ve learnt; comments on English, style, and content
will be given.
