2016년 9월말에 full-time 석사 입학 예정인 학생입니다.

오퍼받은 학교의 pre-sessional 과정이 길어 타대학에서 신청하려고 합니다.

(언컨디셔널 오퍼를 받은 상태라, pre-sessional course가 필수는 아니지만,

 academic writing 에 대해서 간단히라도 익히려는 목적입니다.)

학기 시작 전 타대학에서 간단하게 2주짜리 intensive pre-sessional 과정을 들으려고 하는데,

혹시 offer 받은 학교(A)가 아닌 다른 대학(B)에서 pre-sessional을 수강할 경우 비자를 따로 신청해야 하나요?

현재 full-time받은 학교(A)에서 CAS number 발급된 상태고, tier 4 비자 신청 단계입니다. (비자심사는 안한상태)

(B학교 pre-sessional course 기간: 9월 첫째주-둘째주)

일단, B학교 측에 문의를 해보니,

If your Tier 4 visa for A학교 will be valid for the duration of Summer School, you will be able to do the Summer School on the basis that it will be classed as supplementary study. Supplementary study can be taken at any time so long as:

· It does affect your progress on your main degree;

· It does not hinder you leaving the UK.

Please bring evidence of your unconditional offer for A학교 confirming that your student status with you to Summer School registration. You will be required to show that along with your passport and current visa in order to register for the Summer School.

라고 답변이 와서

영국 이민국 홈페이지 가이드라인을 다시 찾아보니,

Can I do extra studies whilst in the UK?

313.You are allowed to do a supplementary course, for example, an evening class, as well as your main course of study. This supplementary course can be in any subject, and does not have to relate to your main course of study. You do not need permission from us to undertake a supplementary course and you are not required to tell your Tier 4 sponsor. However, you must make sure that your supplementary course does not in any way hinder your progress on your main course of studies.

라고 나오네요.

A학교 측에서도 B학교 프리세션코스에 대한 확인을 받고, tier 4 비자 기한 안에서 정규과정에 영향을 미치지 않는 기간이라면 수강할 수 있을 것 같은데.. 혹시라도 CAS를 재발급받아야 하거나 비자심사과정에서 써머스쿨에 대한 언급을 해야하는지 정확히 모르겠네요.
